Itinerary

Day 1 Singapore Taipei Naha Okinawa

Assemble at Singapore Changi International Airport for your flight to Naha, Okinawa, Japan via Taipei, Taiwan. Upon arrival, meet & greet and on the way you’ll pass by Akamine Station the southern most end of the monorail station and a picturesque Tree House Restaurant.
We will proceed for dinner before checking-in to our hotel. Hotel: Omna Marine View Hotel or similar

Day 2 Southeast Botanical Garden/ Nago Pineapple Park  Kadena Michinoeki Ocean Expo Park

Southeast Botanical Garden , it is 400,000 m2 in size, has 100 species of plants, 3,000 kinds of tropical flowers and 200 tropical fruit trees collected from all over the world. Nago Pineapple Park – Various confectionaries and wines are made using pineapple as the raw material and are sold in this park. You can tour the pineapple field and winery to observe the production and process of a fruity pineapple wine “La Gilma Del Sol” and taste it. Kadena US airbase is the biggest airbase in Okinawa with two 4km long runway; it is big enough for two jumbo plane landing. Ocean Expo Park & Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium - this park is located at the same site where the International Ocean Exposition was held in 1975. In the park, there is the world’s largest aquarium, the Tropical Dream Centre with orchids of world class rareness, a home village where traditional Okinawan houses along the street are re-created and a dolphin theater where you can enjoy dolphin shows. Day 3 Manzamo  Gala Sea-Salt American Village Shuri Castle Ashibina Outlet

Manzamo is a grass plateau jutting into Nago Bay. The scenic view available here is said to be one of the best in Okinawa. Nearby are many fine bathing beaches including Manza beach. Manzamo is an up heaved outcropping of fossilized coral that overlooks the East China Sea. Located in Onna Village, the cape is particularly known for a distinctive formation that resulted from wave erosion and that resembles an elephant's trunk. Gala Sea-Salt - Enjoy visiting this salt factory and try your hands at making salt out of sea water with a mould. There are also pottery and Ryukyu-glass making and taste Okinawa unique salt ice-cream at the restaurant & cafes, and shop for sea-shell souvenir. American Village in Chatan Town is a popular entertainment area with plenty of night activities. American Village is also a popular shopping area and is located just outside Camp Lester. Shuri Castle (Shuri-jo) is believed to have been built in the 14th century by King Satto. Exact year of construction is unknown, but it is recorded that the castle was built when the 1st Sho Dynasty united the Kingdom. Since then, it was expanded and maintained by the 2nd Sho Dynasty. Architectural characteristics of Japan, China and Ryukyu are present in the building. The site was burnt down in the battle of Okinawa, but a part of it was restored and rebuilt, and in 1192, the Shuri-jo Koen, or the Shuri Castle Park, was open to the public. Shurei Gate, reconstructed in 1958, has red-colored tiles on the two-layered roofs, which are set in white lime, retaining a beauty unique to Okinawa. In December of 2000, it became a part of the World Cultural Heritage. Ashibina Outlet Mall is Okinawa's first ever outlet mall, with 70 world brands gathered in one location. On the ground floor, manufacturer’s directly-managed shops and legitimate branches are standing next to each, offering goods at 30-80% of their regular price. On the second floor, the food corner gourmet zone has 6 restaurants and a 600-seat capacity. Hotel: Hotel Washington or similar

Day 4 Orca Peace Memorial Park Okinawa World Kokusai Street Omoromachi

Orca - This large-size underwater observation ship "Orca" leaves Naha Port to tour the surrounding seas. 32 large-sized special glass windows provide a panoramic view of the ocean floor. The ship is highly stable, so even those who easily get seasick can enjoy the view with no worries. Duration of cruise is about one hour. In case weather condition do not permit Orca cruising, it will be replaced with [Shikinaen Garden - Shikinaen was the largest second residence for the Ryukyu royal families. The garden and villa were constructed in 1799 to entertain envoys of the Chinese emperor. It is one of Okinawa's 9 World Heritage sites and a designated national place of scenic beauty. The design of the garden encourages visitor to walk around a central pond with two small stone bridges and a hexagonal gazebo, Rokkaku-do. Visitors can walk through the Undun or royal villa. Be sure to remove your shoes beforehand and be careful of the fragile shoji screen.] Okinawa Peace Memorial Park and Hall – the Peace Memorial Park is situated on Mabuni Hill, the site where the Battle of Okinawa ended, was created to mourn the loss of over 200,000 people died during the war. At the Peace Park there is “The Conerstone of Peace” (a monument on which are inscribed the names of all the war dead regardless of their nationalities in the Okinawa War). The Peace Memorial Museum exhibits testimonial of survivors of the war. The Peace Memorial Hall contain the world’s largest lacquer Buddha statue, known as the “Statue of the Prayer of Peace”. Okinawa World is a theme park re-creating an ancient Okinawa village which includes the Gyokusendo Limestone Cave (the longest limestone cave in the Orient - 890m is open to the public). The total length of the cave is about 5km. There are rows of shops and houses reproduced in traditional Okinawan style, also in the crafts village there are art museum and studios for making Bingata Dyed and woven textiles and a glass factory where you can experience glass making demonstration. There are also schedule performances of Ryukyu dance and Eisa drums on stage. Free for the rest of the evening to visit Kokusai Street, a lively 1.6km street lined with souvenir shops, pubs, hotels and shopping mall. Omoromachi also known as Naha Shintoshi is the newest shopping district in Naha city a short distant away from the Duty Free Shopping (DFS). Hotel: Hotel Washington or similar

Day 5 Naminoue Shrine Tree-House  Naha Airport Taipei Singapore

After breakfast, visit Naminoue Shrine, the oldest temple northwest of Naha City. It was built in 1368 during the times of King Satto for the propagation of Shingonshu worship. It was used as a government establishment for foreign reception during the last days of the Tokugawa regime and it is also the temple where British missionary Bettelheim stayed for 8 years during his missionary to the Ryukyus. The Bettelheim Monument and the Kozakura Monument, a memorial for the nearly 700 children who were killed in an evacuating ship bombed during the Second World War, are located in its grounds. Transfer to airport for your flight to Singapore via Taipei.
