05 Days Hanoi, Halong Bay, Ninh Binh

Day 1 Singapore Hanoi SQ176 0950/1220

Arrive in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Our local guide will meet and greet you at the airport of this city of lakes and then transfer to downtown for checking into hotel. Gather at the hotel lobby after a short rest and proceed for the Hanoi City Tour by ‘cyclo ~ trishaw’ bustling of 36 streets (partial streets only) for about an hour. From this cyclo tour, you will get to see some of local trades. Enjoy the world known famous Water Puppet Show.

Day 2 Hanoi Halong Bay

This morning after breakfast, visit President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (close on every Mon & Fri), One Pillar Pagoda that looks like a lotus flower; the mythical Sword Lake. Walk into Ngoc Son Temple and lastly drive to the Temple of Literature. Leave Hanoi by vehicle (250km = 3hrs drive) for Halong Bay. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields. Upon Arrival, check in hotel.

Day 3 Halong Bay Hanoi

After breakfast at the hotel, cruise on the local junk for about 4 hours within the bay dotted with more than three thousands small islets of different shapes. During these 4 hours’ cruising, you will visit Thien Cung and Dau Go grottoes beautifully decorated by thousands of stalactites and stalagmites. Lunch with local fresh seafood onboard the junk boat. Return to Hanoi City in the afternoon. On your way, visit the hand-made pottery villages for shopping of souvenirs. On arrival at Hanoi, check in hotel for a short rest and quick wash-up if time permits, before transferring to restaurant for your dinner.

Day 4 Hanoi Ninh Binh Hanoi

This morning continue your tour program to Hoa Lu Ancient Capital located 13km from Ninh Binh Town to visit Dinh & Le Dynasty Temple. These two temples were first built in the 11th century and reconstructed in 1696 to dedicate to King Dinh Tien Hoang and his successor Le Dai Hanh. The next visit is Phat Diem Cathedral, a solemn and an interesting architectural complex reflecting the skilful and excellent stone carving art of the Vietnamese workers. After which, you will take a sampan on a river through the rice paddies to the grottoes of the sacred Tam Coc Caves, known as Vietnam’s “Halong on Land”. Lastly you will visit Bich Dong caves pagoda. Return to Hanoi City in the late afternoon.

Day 5 Hanoi Singapore SQ175 1315/1740

Free at leisure till transfer to the airport for your flight back to Singapore.
