
Depart Singapore to the largest city of China - Beijing. Beijing is the capital of the People’s Republic of China and is the nation’s center of government, economy, international activities, culture and transportation hub. Upon arrival, our local representative will welcome and transfer you to hotel for check-in. After which, proceed to “The Place” - an 80,000 sq. m. mall for shopping. There is also a 250m long and 30m wide sky screen, which is the biggest LED screen in the world.

After breakfast, proceed to view the National Grand Theatre, 2008 Olympics Stadium and National Aquatic Center. We will then continue our drive to Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia. Hohhot is a city rich in literature, culture and history.

This morning, proceed to Ordos and visit the Genghis Khan Mausoleum, built in 1954. It is made up of six halls and corridors, and the 5m tall statue of Genghis Khan stands at the entrance to the mausoleum. This place remains a sacred place with great significance for Mongolian people. Thereafter visit the renowned Resonant Sand Bay. Sliding from 90m high, this 45-degree sand hill produces sounds of automobile and aircraft engines and can also create powerful echoes in the wind. Till present, there has no explanation to support this natural phenomenon.

After breakfast,you will travel to Xilamuren Grassland.Lying about 90km north of north Hohhot,it is the first grassland tourit attraction opened in Hohhot. Xilamuren, which means 'yellow water' in Mongolian, is also known as Taihe after Puhui Temple, a Lama temple was built in 1769 in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Besides viewing the astonishing scenery, it is also a time to experience and understand the unique nomadic tradition and lifestyles of the tribal communities. This itinerary includes a welcome ceremony, interaction with local tribes and home visit as well as bonfire party in the evening. Wrapping up the day, you will enjoy a sumptuous meal, accompanied by a performance of song and dances. This is a practice of the tribe to entertain important guests.

After breakfast, we will drive back to Hohhot and proceed to visit the Tomb of Princess Wang Zhao Jun. Princess Wang is a significant character amongst the people of the tribe in attaining peace. And this 33-metres deep tomb is a monument to the national unity in memory of the late Princess Wang, who was one of the four great beauties of ancient China. Continue to Dazhao Temple - the largest and oldest in Hohhot, tracing back to the Ming Dynasty. This is the earliest temple in Hohhot with a history of over 400 years. The temple is entirely patterned after Chinese temples except for the main hall, which is patterned after a Tibetan Lama temple. It houses a complete set (18 volumes) of Buddha scriptures and in the middle of the Buddha hall sits a rare silver statue of the Sakyamuni Buddha. Our last stop today is to shop around Frontier Street.

Set off to Datong City this morning, located in the northern part of Shanxi. It is a famous historic and cultural city in the north China with a history of 2000 years. Its strategic position is also important. We will visit Yungang Grottoes. This 500-year-old Yungang Grottoes in west Datong is the largest cluster of grottoes in China and a world-famous treasure house of art. Also visit the well preserved Nine-Dragon Wall before transferring back to hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, visit XuanKong Temple (Hanging Monastery), located in Mt. Hengshan south of Datong. The most dramatic of the Eighteen Scenes of Hengshan is the Hanging Monastery, suspended precariously under an overhanging precipice. Some of the 40 halls in this temple are held up by a single support-pillar. Continue drive back to Beijing after sightseeing.
