Day 01 Singapore Shanghai

Assemble at Singapore Changi International Airport for your flight to Shanghai, a metropolis without a province, made up of surrounding rural districts. Our local representative will welcome you upon your arrival and arrange visit to Chenghuangmiao and Nanjing Road. Chenghuangmiao is a food street that sells local snacks and famous dishes. The five-kilometre long Nanjing Road, the busiest and most prosperous shopping street in Shanghai, accommodates an average of one million shoppers and visitors every day. Overnight in Shanghai.

Day 02 Shanghai Mt. Putuo

After breakfast, depart by ferry for Mt Putuo Island. Mt Putuo is one of China’s four sacred Buddhist Mountains, particularly oriented toward the Buddhist deity Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. The island is a mecca for Buddhist pilgrims and tourists alike, with good reason: its temples, shrines, and monasteries complement and enhance the beauty of their natural setting amid ambrosial rolling hills, fringed by a variegated border of cliffs and beaches. Visitors share the almost surreal serenity of the island - its caves and pavilions, ponds and temples – with monks in flowing robes, who often initiate friendly conversations not only within the temples, but also on the streets, along a mountain.
