Assemble at Changi Airport for your flight to Taipei. Our local tour guide will greet you upon arrival and be transferred to hotel.
After breakfast, we will proceed to Yehliu Park, known for its bizarre, jagged rock formation moulded by the elements of nature. After which, we will visit Jinshan Fagushan Temple. Continue toTamsui Old Street, located 20km northwest of Taipei. Tonight, enjoy your dinner at the infamous Shihlin Night Market, one of the oldest and largest evening markets and also renown for being a great shopping district in Taiwan.

This morning, proceed to Chiufen, an old gold mining town located in the hills east of Keelung, is unique in Taiwan for having preserved its historic architectural beauty. We will visit Nanfangao, Nantian Temple and Shu Hua Highway. Nanfangao is a famous seafood trading port. Tourists more often enjoy the interesting observations of activities going on there. Nantian Temple is right at the water edge of Nanfangao Harbor and is said to be the town’s pride and joy. Inside, find an impressive gold-plated statue of Matsu, the Goddess of the sea. After lunch, travel down to Hualien via Shu-Hua Highway, a major artery for traffic between Northern Taiwan and the East Coast. The highway winds along a wall of mountains broken only by occasional valleys, sleepy coastal towns, busy fishing villages, cold-water mineral springs, deserted beaches, and breathtaking cliffs. Hualien is the largest city on the East Coast and the impressive backdrop of near vertical mountains is worth a look. Drop by the Ami Aboriginal Cultural Village and have a taste of Taiwanese Cultural song and dance.

Begin today at Taroko Gorge, Taiwan’s third national park. The marble-walled Taroko Gorge is considered the most spectacular natural wonder in Taiwan and this masterpiece is home to a rich ecosystem. Feel the touch of nature through hikes, waterfalls and hot springs. At Tiensiang, a suspension bridge over the gorge leads to a Buddhist temple and scenic pagoda nested on the mountain opposite. Proceed to Ciji Jingsi Temple for visit. Chihpen Hot Spring is one of Taiwan’s largest hot-spring resorts, surrounded by mountains and the ocean. The whole area is divided into outer and inner sections; the spring composition is sulphur carbonate.

This morning, travel via South Swerve Highway to arrive at Kaohsiung, the second largest city in Taiwan and visit the infamous Foguangshan. Commonly known as the “Light of Buddha” mountain, it is the center of Buddhism in Southern Taiwan. Its huge and enormous Buddha statues can be seen from afar before even arriving. And what’s even more unique is the mountain is entirely developed into a complex of temples, halls and gardens. Proceed to visit the two massive pavilions dedicated to Kuan Kung, the God of War, The Spring and Autumn Pavilions were completed in 1951. In front of the pavilions is a statue of “God of Mercy”, riding a dragon. According to legend, Kuanyin appeared above the clouds riding on a dragon, signifying that believers must erect an image depicting this event between “pavilions of summer and autumn”: The present-day structures are a result of this vision. After your dinner, if time permits, tour Kaohsiung Xinku Night Market for good bargain hunting.

After breakfast, proceed to visit Zhongtai Monastery. Next, proceed to the Sun Moon Lake, one of Taiwan’s busiest resort areas and most popular attractions. A beautiful lake with clear, sparkling water set against the magnificent mountain background sets a splendid sight. On its northeast shores, also visit the Peacock Garden and the Wen Wu Temple. The Peacock garden has always been one of the favorite spots to take pictures. Wen Wu Temple is a large and beautiful temple; built dedicated to the famous philosopher Confucius and Guankong, the God of War. Continue our journey to Taichung. Tonight, dinner at own expense. You can try local delicacies at Fong Jia Night Market, one of the famous night markets in Taichung.

This morning, we will drive back to Taipei and visit Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. It is a large walled compound fronted by a traditional Chinese arched gate. Within the wall which, is a large park dominated by the towering Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, a huge and ornate piece of architecture. Also inside the compound are the National Concert Hall and National Theatre. Proceed to National Palace Museum, which houses the world’s largest collection of Chinese artifacts, over 700,000 items in all! The wealth of the collection explains why the museum is widely regarded as the leading center for study of Chinese art. Move on to Martyrs Shrine, known for its peacefulness with the colorful buildings set against a backdrop of hills. It was built in honor those who sacrificed in various wars fighting for the Republic of China. We will wrap up today’s activities with shopping at Taipei 101 Shopping Mall.
